DFW Ovation

Dallas Mayor Eric Johnson asked the Public Affairs & Outreach office with assistance coordinating a citywide ovation two days before the event. I was asked to create a graphic which would be used to promote the event on social media. I created two options, both of which were sent to the Mayor’s office and posted on social media. The City of Fort Worth’s Mayor asked to join in on the event, so I created a version of the graphic for the City of Fort Worth to post on their social accounts. I also provided a translated version of the graphics as well as resized versions for Instagram’s timeline and IG stories.

The promotional tweets were shared by all of the local radio stations, news organizations, state representatives and many other local organizations.

We asked people to post their photos using the hashtag #DFWOvation and received so many videos, photos and boomerangs showing people celebrating the frontline. In addition, medical professionals and other frontline workers sent us tweets thanking us for this effort and let us know they were deeply moved by it.
